How Our Story Began
The Surfin Travel story began with many years of service and operations experience in the airline industry. We learned first-hand what travellers from different countries expect, the worries they may carry during a journey, and how much a good welcome matters. We saw that a trip does not end when the aircraft lands — from the moment a guest steps out of the airport, they form a strong impression of the city, the country and the people serving them.
After that experience, we built our own company. We first operated in e-commerce and automotive spare parts. We combined what we learned in international trade, customer relations and operations management with the transport and guest hospitality culture we had lived in for years. Surfin Travel was the natural result of that accumulation.
For guests visiting Istanbul for the first time, we were often not simply people providing transport. We became the city’s first face, the first point of help and sometimes its ambassador.
We tried to show our guests not only Istanbul’s best-known places, but the city’s daily life, culture, history and distinctive spirit. We helped with where to eat, which areas to visit or how to make better use of their time in the city.
We treated every guest arriving in the city as we would a guest in our own home. Because behind every booking for us there is a real person, an important travel plan and sometimes a holiday waited for years.
Real Experience Earned on the Road
Over the years we formed partnerships with foreign companies and managed journeys for a large number of guests from different countries. Our field experience across 76 provinces in Türkiye and our team’s cumulative road experience of roughly 20 million kilometres over the years became one of the greatest assets that define us today. That experience did not only teach us the roads — it taught us the conditions of different cities, the needs of long journeys, correct vehicle planning and how to produce solutions when the unexpected happens.
The service system we use was not built from a theoretical model drawn at a desk, but from real experiences lived on the road over many years. We learned in the field how a wrong airport choice can affect a journey, why similar hotel names must be checked, how luggage volume matters as much as vehicle choice, and how even a short break on a long journey can change a guest’s comfort.

For us, success is not only the number of completed transfers or kilometres driven.
Our most valued reference became guests we served years ago reaching us directly when they return to Istanbul, and recommending Surfin Travel when their families or friends travel to Türkiye. We met some guests for the first time at the airport; over time they entrusted us with their spouses, children and parents.
That trust cannot be won by a beautiful website or advertising alone. It is earned by being there on time, planning the right vehicle, keeping your word and not disappearing when a problem arises.

The Unseen Side of Operations
Surfin Travel is not an automatic platform that merely forwards bookings to vehicles. Every journey is assessed for date, time, route, airport, address, passenger count, luggage and vehicle suitability.
When we notice an error or ambiguity in the information, we do not accept the booking as it stands — we check it. When needed, we contact our guest and build the correct journey plan together.
Today we bring together our aviation, transport, trade and customer service experience from the past with technology. Our aim is not only to take you from one point to another, but to help your journey in Türkiye begin more safely, more comfortably and more smoothly.
